Claire Elise Boucher (bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY) born on March 17, 1988. She's known as Grimes. [2][3] Her early work is described as stretching into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. She has also incorporated influence from electronic music, hip-hop and rock. She frequently incorporates science fiction and feminist themes throughout her songs. The band has released five albums. Grimes was born and raised in Vancouver in the early 1990s, before she moved to Montreal in 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion during the 2000s. The albums released were through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa in the year 2010. Later, she was signed to 4AD and gained notoriety with the release of her third studio album, Visions, in 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis", and "Oblivion" in addition to being presented with the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. The fourth album of her studio Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It was praised highly from the press and critics, while many journals voted it as the best album. In 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Grimes was also an actress and judge in Alter Ego's musical competitions had a role as an actress for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in 2020.
