Thespian Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn has worked as a professional actor for 27 years. Her career began in 1990, in a non Broadway production called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In the following year she was offered her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, she got her first role as an actor supporting the character Basic Instinct. This marked the beginning of her impressive career. In the film The Firm however that she was chosen as the female lead for the very first time, and this was also against famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. She worked in the 90s with many top actors in Hollywood, like Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant. She recently played Dr. Alex Blake in the internationally popular police procedural crime drama Criminal Minds.
