Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competes with the UFC flyweight division. She is the younger sister of fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimity. Antonina later won the Silver Medal in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a Gold Medal in 2011 and the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was a unanimous one. Antonina Shevchenko broke the professional MMA record at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won with a TKO during the 2nd round and went on to win her two subsequent bouts and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko was a dedicated kickboxer as she took a prolonged time off in MMA. She came back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko was victorious against Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. She joined Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina used superior striking in order to TKO Nievera by knees to her body during the fight. Antonina's UFC contract was re-extended following this victory. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by an unanimous decision. But, she was unable to win her next fight due to the split decision. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the evening for this bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
